Dave's ESL Cafe is one of the first websites created for students and teachers of English as a second language. Among other things, in "Stuff for Students," see the section on slang, and under "Stuff for Everyone," access some podcasts.

ESL as a Second Language is a comprehensive website that offers many different resources on the left navigation bar.

The Purdue OWL has online writing lab ESL resources, handouts, and exercises.

About.com: English as a Second Language. Navigate around the numerous ads and you'll find some useful information.

The Tower of English ESL Sites is another ad-filled website, but it is full of good links in alphabetical order.
